Engr. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Sohaib is currently serving as Professor of Computer Science at KIT. He is also serving as Director of Quality Enhancement Cell and Chair of the Center of Software Innovation, Trainings, Technopreneurship, and Commercialization at KIT. Prior to joining KIT, he served as Director of the Institute of Computer and Software Engineering at Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology. He was also founder of the Advanced Image Processing Research Lab at KFUEIT, which hosted state-of-the-art hyperspectral imaging sensors. He specializes in image processing, computer vision, and spectral imaging. With a strong publication record in hyperspectral imaging applications across agriculture, food safety, and healthcare, Dr. Sohaib contributes to advancing interdisciplinary research in AI-powered visual systems. His recent work focuses on sustainable agriculture technologies, IoT applications, deep learning for medical imaging, and intelligent food adulteration detection using hyperspectral methods.

He has also served as Associate Dean, Director of IT Services, Director of Student Facilitation Service Center, Director Student Affairs, Convenor of Admissions Committee, and Director of the South Punjab Institute of Skills Development at Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology prior to joining Khanpur Institute of Technology.
