Admissions Policy (For Fall 2026)

Admission Opening and Application Process

  • Prospective students must apply through the KIT Web Admission Portal “admissions.thekit.edu.pk”. (The banner link will also be displayed on KIT website).
  • Applicants will be required to create a profile by providing complete personal information and uploading scanned copies of educational certificates.
  • Students can apply for multiple programs through the portal.

Admission Test and Application Fees

  • The admission test is mandatory for all applicants seeking admission.
  • Each student may appear in a maximum of two admission tests.
  • The first test fee (file processing + admission test + application fee) will be PKR 1500.
  • Subsequent test(s) fee will be PKR 2500.
  • If a student appears in two tests, they may choose the higher score to apply for admission.

Merit Determination

The admission merit will be determined based on the following weightage:

Fee Structure

  • Tuition Fee: Rs. 70,000 per semester for every program.
  • Admission Fee (Non-Refundable): Rs. 10,000 (one-time, paid with first installment).
  • Security Fee (Refundable): Rs. 10,000 (only if the student completes its degree in KIT).
  • Registration Fee (Non-Refundable): Rs. 10,000 (one-time, paid with first installment).
  • Examination Fee: Be charged separately for each semester as notified by Punjab University, as per their specified amount (15225 PKR. For the financial year 2025-2026).

Students will be allowed to pay their fee in installments as per following table:

Limited Merit-Based Scholarships

Limited Merit-based scholarships will be awarded first come first serve at the time of admissions (subject to the approval of the admission committee) and based on the following criteria mentioned in below table:

Limited Need-Based Scholarships

The students who demonstrate financial hardship can apply for need based scholarship (only 4 seats are available for each program).

  • You can only apply for the need-based scholarship this makes you ineligible for other categories of scholarships.
  • The shortlisted applicants will be called for the interview with the following documents:
    • Attach valid supporting documents as proof of financial need (e.g., father income certificate, utility bills, rent receipts or other supporting documents. etc.)
    • Students must provide proof of income and household financial background.
  • All applications will be reviewed by the Scholarships & Financial Assistance Committee.
  • Final decisions are based on documentation and interview.
  • After your application is reviewed and approved, you will be granted a scholarship.
  • To continue receiving the scholarship, you must maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.0 in every semester.

Other Admission and Scholarship Conditions

  • Scholarships only apply to tuition fees; students must pay registration fees, examination fees, and other charges.
  • Eligible students will receive a notification via the admission portal to select a test & interview date.
  • After test completion, an eligibility notification will be sent via the admission portal based on test results, interview and application scrutiny.

Additional Admission Regulations

  • Admission to any program will be strictly merit-based and in accordance with the eligibility criteria.
  • Students must ensure that all documents uploaded are authentic and verified.
  • Any false information or misrepresentation may result in disqualification.
  • The final merit list and admission decisions will be at the sole discretion of the KIT Admission Committee.
